Music has always been about one thing: a burning desire.
Talent burns.
Life burns.
Determination burns.
I am like that.
I have met and worked with people who are like that.
We are family in this, regardless of similarities or differences.
And the outcome is rarely foreseeable.
The process is sometimes easy and sometimes exhausting, but that’s all part of the game.
What counts is the listeners’ reaction.
And contrary to what most people seem to believe, perfection is not paramount – ideas, drive and finding the best possible way to convey them are.
The history of music is the ground music itself walks on, draws inspiration from and takes off from at the hands of those with that same drive and ambition.
I will keep on exploring my personal universe and putting it in the service of new music that burns to be made.

Recording

I have two recording studios at my disposal: Nologo Recording Studio just outside my hometown of Bolzano and Sottoilmare Studio just outside Verona. I particularly like Sottoilmare because of its beautiful acoustic properties. If you have a different studio in mind, I can record everything there and then mix your songs at Nologo Recording Studio.

Mixing

I do my mixes at Nologo Recording Studio. My mixing room there is equipped with all the quality analogue gear I need for the old school approach that I have come to love (not least thanks to my two maestros David Lenci and Kevin Shirley). My equipment comprises a variety of vintage units, such as the Manley Varimu Compressor or the famous ADR Compex (used on Led Zeppelin’s drum tracks).

Music Production

One of my strengths is the way I perceive an album. I try to understand what it needs to become the "best version" of your songs at that precise moment, and how far you can push the envelope. It's a soft skill I've always had. This naturally led to my first jobs as a producer in charge of the artistic side of albums – a subtle, yet immensely important role that comprises all the different stages, from pre-production to recording and mixing. Most bands need an outsider with a keen eye who knows how to bring out the best in each song, and are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of working with a producer. Whether your band needs an experienced producer to work alongside your trusted sound engineer or you're a sound engineer looking for help with production, do not hesitate to get in touch. I know that engineers often have to pull double duty as producers even though they would much prefer to focus purely on the technical side of things. Conversely, I like working with someone who will reliably take care of all the technical aspects while I concentrate on production.
